Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before registering for the Day of Caring. Participation as a Project Partner or Volunteer Team in the Day of Caring indicates that you have read and accept these terms and conditions. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, please do not submit your application form or participate in the Day of Caring.
1. Waiver. You have read and understand the waiver (link to waiver) and will have a signed and dated copy with you on the morning of the Day of Caring, you fully understand the nature of the event and confirm that you are in good health and in proper physical condition to participate in the Day of Caring.
2. Photo Release. You have read and understand the photo release form (link to photo release form) and will have a signed and dated copy with you on the morning of the Day of Caring. You give United Way Kitchener Waterloo & Area ("United Way KW") permission to use your photo(s) from the Day of Caring and publish the photographs, in whole or in part, individually or in conjunction with other printed matter, in all forms of media and in all manner, for editorial, advertising, trade, commercial, promotional or any other lawful purpose.
3. Publicity. You agree that United Way KW may use your name and logo individually or in conjunction with other printed matter, in all forms of media and in all manner, for editorial, advertising, trade, commercial, promotional or any other lawful purpose.
4. Inclement Weather. You understand and acknowledge that the Day of Caring may be cancelled or postponed due to inclement or unsafe weather conditions and that notice of cancelation may be on the morning of or during the event.
5. Volunteer Teams. United Way KW will try to accommodate all volunteer team preferences. Under some circumstances, however, your volunteer team may be divided into smaller groups to appropriately match project partners. As well, your volunteer team may be assigned a task different to that which was indicated in the preferred involvement section of the application. You understand and acknowledge the above and are willing to accommodate if necessary.
6. Contact Information. You agree that United Way KW may share your contact information with other volunteer teams, project partners and/or Day of Caring participants including, but not limited to, those with whom you have been matched.
